The Walhalla School invites any parents of children between the ages of 3 and 5 who have concerns about their childs skills or abilities to request a screening to see if further assessment is needed. This is by appointment. Please contact Mr. Amb, Elementary Principal at 701-549-3751 or
nicholas.amb@k12.nd.us with any questions or to set up an appointment to get your child screened. This is not a universal screen, but is known as Child Find, a provision of the Individuals With Disabilities Education Act. It is attempt to locate students within the district who may qualify for early intervention/and or special education services within the district.

North Border Football Fans - North Border plays South Border this Saturday at 2:00 pm in Walhalla in the first round of playoffs! The easiest way to get tickets for this game, is to use GoFan on your phone. The guide on how to get tickets is below; please follow directions carefully. Admission is $10.00 for adults/$5.00 for students if tickets are purchased in advanced with GoFan. Cash admission at the gate is $15.00 for adults/$5.00 for students. No season passes will be accepted for playoff games.
North Border students - Thanks to NB Sports Boosters, every NB student can get into free to the game. Do not buy student tickets in advance to take advantage of this offer; just go through the gate as normal and they will mark you down there! Thank you to the Boosters for their generosity!!!

Come out and cheer on the Eagles in their final home volleyball match of the year in Pembina tonight!
North Border takes on the Drayton/Valley-Edinburg Titans with C, JV, and Varsity all in action. Junior High matches will also be played as they wrap up their season.
Games start at 3:45 PM in Pembina and will be streamed live on YouTube at the North Border Live Stream channel.

North Border (7-2) will host South Border (6-2) in the first round of the 2025 9-man playoffs on Saturday, October 25th. Game time is set for 2:00 PM in Walhalla. Come support the football team in the "Border Battle" this weekend!

In Walhalla, please enter through door 2 (playground door.). We encourage everyone to check out the cafeteria--we have opportunities to complete your family surveys, information about getting on ParentVue, lost and found, and a nice selection of donated clothing for winter!
One additional announcement--at any time you are picking up your student early, the pickup point will be the main office (door 1.). This should eliminate any confusion as to where students should be meeting you.

🚨 We have a BUSY few weeks ahead at Walhalla Elementary! 🚨
✅ We have the book fair coming up. It kicks off October 9, and will be open through PT conferences! We would love for you to check it out. This year, the book fair will be in the HS Study hall room just down the hall from the library. We want to make this the BEST BOOK FAIR YET!! Watch this space for more information!!
✅ Public Health will be here Oct 14 to administer vaccinations for parents who wish to have this done at school. A signed consent MUST be in place or no shots given. An informational form went home, but am attaching one to this post.
✅ PT Conferences Tuesday, Oct 14 4-8 PM. Look for a note from your child's teacher with your times. We would LOVE to see you at conferences!!
✅ Title 1 Family night will be Monday, October 20 from 6:30-appx 8 PM. If you have any questions, reach out to Lisa Amb at lamb@northborder.org
✅ A few other reminders--as it cools down, please remember to dress kids in clothing for the weather. I have a guideline of our expectations posted. At conferences we will have a collection of Lost/Found along with some really awesome, clean, gently used items that were donated over the summer. We will have tables set up for you to check out in the cafeteria! Please reach out to Mr. Amb or your child's teacher if you are struggling with finding appropriate gear for the cooler weather we all know is coming.
