North Border School Election set for June 9th
The annual election for the North Border School District #100 will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2020. Voting for this election will be via absentee ballot only due to the COVID-19 pandemic. To get an application to vote by absentee ballot, please email the Business Manager at Kendra.Trupe@k12.nd.us or call 701-549-3751 ext. 213 and leave a message with your contact information (Name, Address, and how you would like to receive the application). The PDF of the application can also be found on our school website or on our school Facebook page. Signed applications can be emailed to Kendra.Trupe@k12.nd.us or mailed to North Border School District at 605 10th St, Walhalla, ND 58282. Once the application is received by the Business Manager, an absentee ballot will be mailed out to you. Please follow the directions of the ballot and secrecy envelope carefully. Ballots must be POSTMARKED by June 8, 2020 in order to be counted. Absentee ballots will only be accepted by mail, so please do not try to drop off in person.
The North Border School Board shall consist of seven members with two members from each of the former districts and one at large. Three current members will be continuing next year in their unexpired terms, so there are four vacancies to be filled – two from the geographic area of Neche, one from the geographic area of Walhalla, and one ‘At Large’ position. All voters of North Border School District #100 will vote for all members. Therefore, each voter should vote for a total of four (4) members in this election by marking the box to the left of the name and/or listing a write in candidate.
The following have submitted an application for nomination for the School Board Election: Jeni Carrier (2 years left of a 3 year term) and Jared Hanson are running for the two seats in the former Neche District, Jared Johnson is running for the seat in the former Walhalla District, and Jeff Watts has filed for the seat as the ‘At Large’ position. Terms are for three (3) years unless listed otherwise.
Terms of current school board members that are ending this year (June 30, 2020) are: Jeni Carrier, who represents Neche (2 years left of a 3-year term), Jared Hanson, who represents Neche (3-year term) and Jared Johnson, who represents Walhalla (3-year term), and Luke Longtin, who represents the ‘At Large’ position (3-year term).
Other members of the School Board include: Amber Dunnigan, Mason Peters, and Shannon Cosley.

If you do not have a computer, iPad, tablet, or any electronic device, please contact your school and we will supply one for you. Also contact the school if you would like to pick up your child's personal supplies. Please call between 8:30-9:30 AM.

Grades 7-12 Parents:
All classes have been added to Google Classroom. Your child has been invited to their classes by their teachers.
Sack Lunches will be provided for students in our district. You must call the school office between 8:30-9:30 AM. Pickup will be at the Pembina and Walhalla School and the Neche gym between 11:30-12:30.
The prom and school plays have been postponed.
