Another fun afternoon during Eagle Club in Pembina where 3-6 graders get a chance to learn new skills, connect with our older students and create fun activities. This week some of our crew continued working on their LEGO creations and another group worked with Mrs. Symington with a drawing and painting project! Awesome!

It's a new year, new month, and Walhalla Elementary is working on another character trait. This month our assembly recognized our Eagles who demonstrated consistent kindness in the month of December. We also learned about PERSEVERANCE--not giving up! When people persevere, they stick to do it. They show up and do the work. They do not give up and say "i can't do this!" Sometimes, it might be "I can't do this...YET."
There are very few things in life that are worthwhile and easy.
Families, as you get an opportunity to engage with your kids over the next few weeks--please look for ways you might incorporate perseverance. It might be helping your student to learn a harder math skill. It may be just sticking with working on a sports or music skill that they are struggling with.
Mindset and knowing the power of "yet" are very critical. Don't give up!

Tonight's concert in Walhalla is at 6 PM. Students should arrive between 5:30 and 5:45 through door 2 (recess doors.)
Students will be picked up after the concert in their classrooms. PK will go sit with family when their part is over.
