๐ข Walhalla : Weโve seen an uptick in Hand, Foot & Mouth Disease among elementary and high school school students.
๐ What to know:
Symptoms include fever, sore throat, mouth sores, and a rash on hands/feet.
Keep children home if they have a fever, have sores that are draining or are too uncomfortable to participate in class.
Encourage good handwashing and avoid sharing cups, utensils, or water bottles.
Most kids recover in about a week. Call your childโs healthcare provider if symptoms worsen or if you notice signs of dehydration.
๐งผ Hand hygiene = the best prevention!
*We have seen no CURRENT cases at the Pembina site, but it does not hurt to be aware!

EAGLE FAMILIES:
We have had an AWESOME start to the school year! Homecoming week was so much fun. I love to see the participation and interaction with all grades PK-12!
A couple quick reminders for families:
1. There is staff development MONDAY and NO SCHOOL on MONDAY, SEP 30.
2. I am running a short competition for students who are
a. ON TIME EVERY DAY
b. PRESENT IN SCHOOL EVERY DAY
c. NO discipline referrals all week.
Students who meet these criteria will be eligible for the drawing of a HESS TRUCK next Friday!
3. We kick off our character-building education this coming Tuesday. The theme for the month of OCTOBER is RESPONSIBILITY.
Our mission as a school is to help prepare young people for a happy, successful, and productive adult life. By helping teach and reinforce these characteristics early, we aim to help students achieve this important part of their development.
As the month goes on, you will have opportunities to have conversations with your students about what it means to take responsibilityโto be responsible, to act responsibly. I am excited, and thankful for teachers who have taken a leading role here in helping with this!
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!
MR. AMB
