Upcoming events for Dec. 5-10th

The sixth graders have been busy studying and reading Boy on the Wooden Box by Leon Leyson, Prisoner B-3087 by Alan Gratz, Number the Stars by Lois Lowry, and Hanaโs Suitcase by Karen Levine. Now, they are carefully designing individual visual plot projects to share the life of their characters (real and inspired) with others so that this event in history is never forgotten.
โIf I had known what the next six years of my life were going to be like, I would have eaten more. I wouldnโt have complained about brushing my teeth, or taking a bath, or going to bed at eight oโclock every night. I would have played more. Laughed more. I would have hugged my parents and told them I loved them.โ -Prisoner B-3087
โI belong to a generation that has learned that whatever the question, despair is not the answer. What is the answer? Maybe you are the answer.โ -Elie Wiesel (Holocaust survivor)
โIn spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart.โ
-Anne Frank
