NB Families,
We are seeing a significant increase in illness among both students and staff in our buildings. Confirmed cases of Influenza A, along with other seasonal viruses, are spreading quickly. Common symptoms include a fever of 100ยฐF or higher, headache, and a persistent cough.
If your child has a fever of 100ยฐF or higher, they must stay home. If they develop a fever at school, you will be called to pick them up. Students must be fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication before returning to school.
Please review the guidance from Pembina County Public Health. If your child sees a doctor, ask for a providerโs note so we can accurately track attendance. While we value strong attendance, keeping illness from circulating is our top priority.
Thank you for your cooperation in keeping North Border Schools healthy!

Upcoming events for Jan. 27-Feb. 1

Could In December, Pembina Honor Society (Tori & Noah) organized a birthday box drive for our local food pantry. Collecting over 400 items total, we celebrated the winning collection teams with a pizza party last week. Thank you to all who helped us support Pembina County Food Pantry!ย ย

Opt-Out of Old Blackboard Alerts
If youโve been receiving calls, texts, or alerts that seem to come from our schoolโs phone numberโespecially about lunch notificationsโthis may be due to Blackboard, our former alert system. Some phone numbers may still be in their system, even though we no longer use it.
To stop these alerts, please refer to the attached image for opt-out instructions. You can call the provided number or opt out when you receive the call (typically around 2:05 PM each day).
We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as Mrs. Engelstad has worked to resolve this issue. Thank you for your understanding!

Today, January 24, 2025, Customs and Border Patrol will be doing a training (walk through) in our school buildings. This is just a practice for safety so they can get familiar with our schools in case they ever need to assist in the future.
They will start in Pembina at 9 AM and then head to Walhalla after. If you see their vehicles outside, thereโs no need to worry! This is just a routine training.
