Brian Hardy visited the Pembina School from the Pembina Museum. He gave a presentation to our 4th grade students on fur trading and facilitated a trading activity with artifacts from early settlement times of North Dakota. He provided the same presentation and activity to our 8th and 9th grade students this afternoon. Our 4th and 8th grade students are learning about North Dakota studies as part of our North Dakota State Standards.
Our 2-6 grade students were invited to the Pembina Port of Entry today to celebrate Bring Your Child to Work Day. The students toured the Port of Entry, watched a couple of short videos about what CBP does, heard from the officers about what they do, viewed some of the special tools CBP Officers use, learned about officer arrest techniques, spoke to CBP Agriculture Specialists and saw strange foods and bugs they have seized.
Thank you to our expert community members for sharing your knowledge with our students!
