NB Pembina Poetry Out Loud

On Wednesday, January 15, nine North Border Pembina high school students participated in our first ever Poetry Out Loud competition. The students each recited one poem and had another one memorized in the event of a tie breaker. We had our classroom competitions back in October, and the top two qualifiers from each grade moved on to the school competition.

The students who participated are:
(L to R) Josh Zaharia, Ahjah Briscoe, McKenna Ohmann, Vida Gutierrez, Kristin Albrecht, Martina Lyons, Kierra Helland, Sierra Hoffman, Josephine Evenson.

Our 2019-2020 Poetry Out Loud Champion is Josephine Evenson! She will advance to the state competition in Bismarck on February 24.
